Last weekend I had pleasure of photographing some wonderful friends. Often times, clients will become friends, but these folks were friends first...which was so much fun! With young ones it can really help if they know the crazy lady that's chasing them around with a camera ;) I was able to spend the evening following them around their exciting neighborhood to capture them in their element. Fondren is the arts district here in Jackson, MS and is the perfect local for this particular family because dad, Jerrod Partridge, is a phenomenal artist and mom, Jessie, does exquisite floral design for weddings and other events.
I must admit that I was a bit nervous to photograph a family of artists (Jerrod does lovely photography in addition to his painting and drawing), but I forgot about my nerves once we started shooting! This family is so laid back and incredibly sweet, so it's hard to feel anything but completely comfortable when you are around them. The love they share is so evident in their daily interactions, and such an inspiration. I was thrilled to be able to capture that in their photographs.
This guy is fearless when it comes to climbing...
...I wonder where he gets it???
Thank you so much, Rachel!! We had a great time that evening, and we LOVE our photos! There are a couple of shots that I hadn't seen yet - I really like the one with the kids on the fence. :)
ReplyDeleteWonderful family and wonderful pictures! I, too, like the one of the kids on the fence. Mae and her baby doll, though, continue to be my favorite. I love the very first picture, too.
ReplyDeleteThank you, ladies! Jessie, my goal is to have all of your pictures up by next weekend! Carrie, Mae and her baby doll seems to be the popular pick :)
