More Minnesota
These two boys were so full of energy that I couldn't help but feeling a little more energized myself...which was completely necessary as I chased them around downtown Moorhead to get these shots! I thoroughly enjoyed it, and running around helped me keep warm with frigid temps in the 30s and 40s. I am a little embarrassed to admit how quickly I acclimated myself to the mild, Mississippi weather and subsequently shed my thick Minnesota skin. The mother (smart lady that she is) finally decided it was time to head home because it was so chilly, however the boys seemed completely oblivious to the cold!
I'm just starting to get the hang of this blogging thing, so I'm still trying to figure out the best way to display photos and give a little info about them. Photos first, info second? Info first, photos after? I just discovered I can post more than one image at a time (baby steps!) but I'm still not quite sure how to write a little blurb above them, so I guess I'll do a separate post until I learn otherwise.
The following pictures are of two sweet girls I have known since they were just teeny, tiny. They are friends from back home in Minnesota, and were the first in a week-long series of shoots that kept me busy, busy, busy!

Blog Revival
I was pleasantly surprised today when two (yes, two!) people informed me that they had actually visited my blog and read the little messages that I assumed I was sending out into the void, never to be seen by anyone :) In light of this new information I will do my very best to post updates on my life (a few) and keep new pictures coming (lots). If you happen to read this and want to let me know, I would be much more than thrilled.

So, I'm trying to get the word out about Rachel Kabukala Photography in as many ways as I can. First the website, then the blog, and now a facebook page! I have a feeling that some of these methods may prove to be more effective than others, but for the moment I'm experimenting to find out what may be best. So...feel free to weigh in on your favorite method of promotion, and in the meantime, please check out Rachel Kabukala Photography on facebook. I believe there is even a link in the upper right-hand corner of the blog page!
P.S. I'm currently the only fan of my own page... :)

First post ever!
Welcome to the new blog for Rachel Kabukala Photography. Blogging is a bit new to me, so your patience is appreciated as I get the hang of it! These photos are from my latest shoot of a wonderful family here in Jackson. They are the sweetest folks, and their stunning looks were perfectly accentuated by the downtown images of our great capital city!
